Born: 20 December 1949 in Evanston, Illinois, USA as Mary Eileen Chesterton

Casting Claudia Jennings in an episode of The FBI clearly took a lot of nerve. After all, she was Playboy's 1970 "Playmate of the Year," not exactly the sort of person J. Edgar Hoover would have wanted.
However, whe she was cast in the episode "Deadly Ambition," Mr. Hoover had been dead for over one year. She also had an established acting career by 1974 as well, having acted in both movies and on TV.
Ms. Jennings continued her acting career, making appearances in such fare as The Man Who Fell To Earth (1976). She narrowly lost out of being cast on Charlie's Angels as well. Sadly, her life came to an end when she died in an auto accident in Malibu. Like FBI regular Shelly Novack, she had problems with drugs during her life. However, no traces of drugs were found in her system after her death, so they were ruled out as a cause of her auto accident death. She remains remembered for her work with Playboy, even today.
