Lead actors and …

The FBI

Our New Address and Our New Look

One distinguishing feature about The FBI was that it was a show about an actual governmental agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

And one of the most celebrated, too.

Because the series was filmed with the cooperation of the Bureau, the lead actors were subjected to clearances. Director J. Edgar Hoover handpicked Efrem Zimbalist Jr. for the lead role, because he did not want a Communist sympathizer for the lead role. The same also applied to his fellow actors as well.

We will provide biographies of the different lead performers who helped to provide viewers with nine years worth of enjoyable crime dramas on ABC. We will also provide some information here on those who helped to make this possible, too, namely Bureau Director J. Edgar Hoover, Assistant Director W. Mark Felt and show producer Quinn Martin.
