66. By Force And Violence, Part 2
THE HILL-DEMPSEY ROBBERY
David Rogers Speirs et al.: Kidnapping.
Original air date: 29 October 1967
This episode rerun 12 May 1968
Trailing the kidnappers of a teenage boy, Inspector Erskine uncovers plans for a $3,000,000 robbery by the boy’s father.
- FBI Carousel Bulletin: Agent Durant, meet former Agent Durant. Dean Harens holds on in this part, and his predecessor in that role, Douglas Henderson, plays S.A.C. Converse. That part, however, was introduced by Don Eitner in two first-season episodes. So, we have parts, and we have actors, and we put them all in this big bucket, and there comes the producer with the stirring spoon ... At least, the leads were constant. Whew.
- No interesting cars, but this is an interesting story showing how a professional thief plans a high-value robbery. OK seagoing chase scene with the US Coast Guard at the end.
