Miguel Ramos Valdez: Assaulting a Federal Officer, Murder.

Assistant Director Arthur Ward, Inspector Lew Erskine and Agent Tom Colby track down an oil field killer.

• No interesting cars or helicopters, but lots of action. Tom Colby goes undercover as an oilfield roughneck. Inspector Erskine rides horses and tames wild dogs. Assistant Director Ward walks around and well-acts like Mr. Ward. The bad guys blow up an oil well to cover up financial misdeeds.
• The assult on a federal officer was on Colby, and the bad guy killed a Border Patrol agent. Therefore, the FBI has primary jurisdiction for this crime of murder.
