Today marks the 103rd anniversary of the birth of Efrem Zimbalist Jr., the lead actor on The FBI for all of its nine seasons. It’s hard to believe how the time has passed by, but it has. And it’s also amazing that it was only seven years ago that he took leave of this earth, peacefully, in California. Unlike some performers whose later years were marked with sorrow, or worse, he managed to lead a good life and left behind a family and friends.
And that’s something to be thankful for!
Speaking of Thanksgiving, it was the holiday time when our Facebook page received its 1000th like. It is clearly a cool milestone for a series that aired a half century ago. While there are some episodes that clearly show their age, the same is true of so many other shows from the Sixties and Seventies. What remains are some very good stories acted by both veteran and newcomer actors and actresses. The series remains a treat to watch!
As of this writing, we also remember Stephen Brooks on the 22nd anniversary of his passing, from a heart attack, in Seattle. As Special Agent Jim Rhodes, he was on the first two seasons before being replaced by William Reynolds, who has a special birthday coming up next week! More on that next week!
