Original broadcast date: 9 January 1966
This episode was not rerun
A clever confidence man of a thousand faces plays a deadly game of cat and mouse, with $1 million as the prize. The confidence man was also a skilled carpenter. He would build secret rooms in the homes of his “marks” to dispose of their bodies. No interesting cars, but a pretty tense episode.
- Lloyd Gough’s casting in this episode is very interesting! He would play Mike Axford in The Green Hornet later in 1966. The show was produced by Greenway Productions, which would produce Batman. That series would debut on Wednesday, 12 January 1966, three days after this episode aired.
- Mr. Gough’s casting was also interesting, because he was blacklisted in 1952. He was involved in left-wing courses. Incidentally, one of his last roles was as Walter Winchell in The Private Files of J. Edgar Hoover (1977)!
- James Daly makes his first appearance on The FBI here. The father of performers Tyne Daly and Tim Daly, he starred on the CBS medical drama Medical Center from 1969 to 1976.
- Once again, Noah Keen makes an appearance!
