Anton Andre Christopher: Espionage.
Original air date: 9 October 1966
Rerun 14 May 1967
A professional gunman is out to kill a clergyman, who is scheduled to speak at a Chicago gathering. The bishop in question is campaigning for world peace. The gunman has already killed an important figure in Manila, The Philippines. Oh, and there is also some betrayal involved.
- 1957 Ford Ranchero (yellow/white) in background as the younger asassin moves towards the bishop outside the hotel
- Black 1966 Mercury with a breezeway rear window used by the Chicago Police Lt. to transport the bishop. This appears to be the same car used in “The Cave-In,” where it was the sheriff’s car.
- The F.B.I. is without a single clue to the identity of a killer they must find in order to prevent an assassination, and to protect the reputation of the United States.
- In real life, Dean Jagger acquired an interest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He became a Mormon in 1972, and remained one until his death in 1991.
