Inspector Erskine trails one of the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted” fugitives, a vicious killer. He saves a young, hearing-impaired Mexican girl named Teresa from assault. Grateful, the girl tags along with her hitchhiking rescuer—unaware that he’s a vicious killer trying to elude an FBI dragnet. The chase leads the FBI to San Antonio, Texas, where Shroeder hails from.
- Ellen Corby is the actress who plays Grandmother Walton on The Waltons TV series. She makes one of her several appearances on the show.
- Jack Lord (1920-1998) was best remembered as the by-the-book cop on the long-running crime series, Hawaii Five-0. That show would overtake The FBI as the longest-running crime drama on TV in 1977, a record that would stand until 2002, when the original Law & Order series would take the record; it ran until 2010, for a total of 20 seasons.
- Pilar Seurat (1938-2001) plays the mute girl who falls in love with Jack Lord in this episode.
- In the beginning of Act IV, both the 1957 Ranchero and the 1963 Ford Ambulance (blue/white) appear.
