Inspector Lewis Erskine traps a go-go dancer who conspires to marry military service men and collects their insurance money when her boyfriend murders them.

- Patrick Wayne (b. 1939), son of acting legend John Wayne, makes the first of two appearances.
- Margaret Field (1922-2011) is the mother of actress Sally Field, who was starring in The Flying Nun at this time. The younger Field would go on to win two Academy Awards.
