Richard William Shaefer, alias Marvin Smith: Kidnapping.
Original air date: 2 February 1969
A Piper Navajo (N9005Y) is the aircraft that the kidnapper uses to try to fly the newspaper publisher out of the U.S. back to his home country. A certain death awaits the newspaper man unless the good inspector intervenes.
- Good casting, including the veteran actor Gilbert Roland. Mr. Roland began his acting career in the silent movies in 1923, and was able to make the transition to talking pictures. He began working in television in the 1950s, but managed to keep working in the movies until he retired in 1982, 12 years before his death from cancer.
- Marianna Hill is the cousin of US General Norman Schwarzkopf. She played Fredo Corleone’s wife in The Godfather, Part 2. She also had a role as King Tut’s (Victor Buono) moll in a Season 2 appearance on Batman.
