A fake kidnapping ends up turning into two real ones, and both Inspector Erskine and Agent Colby are in a race against time to free both the kidnap victim and his father.
Guest star Jeff Bridges is the son of actor Lloyd Bridges and has a brother Beau, who appeared in Season 1.
Carl Betz was well known for playing pediatrician Dr. Alex Stone on The Donna Reed Show (1958-66) and the title role for the 1967-69 series, Judd For The Defense. He also had a guest appearance on the 1972 QM (Quinn Martin) episode “The Bullet” on The Streets Of San Francisco.
- Lots of cars and helicopters. The 1957 Ranchero (yellow/white) is in the parking lot of Dana’s Drugs. This is the location of the payoff to the kidnapper. The kidnapper is driving a 1957 Ford Fairlane (black). Also in the parking lot is a 1957 Ford F-100 (blue).
- The father of the kidnap victim is driving a 1968 Shelby Mustang GT-350 convertible (blue w/ white top). The helo is a Bell Jetranger, FAA regis. N7873S. The same helicopter was probably also used in “The Eye of the Needle.”
