Walter Everett Hazlett: Crime Aboard Aircraft—Piracy—Attempted Murder.
Original air date: 26 October 1969
Inspector Lewis Erskine urges the hijacker of a Cuban-bound plane to land immediately to save the life of a wounded passenger. Hijackings to Cuba seemed to be a popular thing in the late 1960s.
- The hijacked airliner is a Douglas DC-6. The jet that Erskine uses is a North American Sabreliner. No interesting cars.
- Tim O’Connor (1927-2018) makes the third of his six appearance here in the series. He had just come off of a regular role on Peyton Place (1964-1969).
- Brenda Benet makes her one and only appearance. She was married to Bill Bixby, who was at the time appearing in another ABC series, The Courtship Of Eddie’s Father, from 1971 to 1979. Sadly, her divorce from Mr. Bixby and the death of her son in 1981 led to her suicide a year later.
