128. The Doll Courier
John DeBecker, Eric Linler, et al: Espionage, Murder.
Original air date: 21 December 1969
Rerun 5 July 1970
The FBI goes after Communist agents here. The head of a porcelain doll is used to transport top secret microfilm. Action takes place in three cities: Portland, Oregon; Fort Wayne, Indiana; and Syracuse, New York. The story covers a lot of ground.
- F.B.I. Carousel Bulletin: In his seventh series appearance, Guy Remsen plays yet another agent, albeit only his third with a name to the part. So far, no other actors played one of his “name parts.” Remsen was another “repertory actor” of Quinn Martin’s.
- No interesting cars. Interesting ending, though, as the final scene is of Viveca Lindfors crying.
- Dutch-born Robert Wolders (1936-2018) was married to Merle Oberon and was companion to Audrey Hepburn. He lived in the Rochester, NY suburb of Irondequoit, NY.
