Glen Frye, Lester Hunter: Interstate Transportation of Stolen Property—Major Theft
Original air date: 27 December 1970
Inspector Lewis Erskine prevents con artists from bilking a wealthy winery owner Harlan Franciscus. Funny part is, the female con artist actually is interested in marrying Franciscus. She ends up herself being targeted for a shakedown by the male counterparts. Strong cast here, and a decent episode.
- FBI Carousel Bulletin: With Phil Dean, yet another actor-the fifth-fills the role of S.A.C. Kirby Greene. For the checkered career of Agent Greene, please see the notes on episode 160, “The Replacement.”
- Larry Linville would later play Major Frank Burns (the unit patsy) on the CBS sitcom M*A*S*H.
- The ever-lovely Suzanne Pleshette in yet another FBI story! Still better than the 1957 Ford Ranchero! This would be her final guest appearance on the series. She went on to play Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978.
- Gene Raymond (1908-1998) was married to Jeanette McDonald from 1937 to 1965, when she died. He was the brother-in-law of Marie Blake, aka Blossom Rock (Grandmama Addams in The Addams Family, 1964-1966).
