In the first episode to air in 1972, Inspector Erskine goes undercover impersonating a fence’s representative to retrieve a stolen shipment of platinum. Erskine’s life is eventually put on the line.
- Stefanie Powers played the lead role in the 1966-1967 series The Girl From Uncle, and in the 1979-1984 ABC series Hart to Hart.
- David Hedison played a leading role in Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea (1964-68). That series, like The FBI, aired on ABC on Sunday nights from 1964 to 1968. Later that year, he played Felix Leiter in the 1973 James Bond film Live And Let Die. The Rhode Island native passed away on 18 July 2019 at age 92.
- Leon Askin (1907-2005) may be best known for his supporting role on Hogan’s Heroes as Nazi General Burkhalter, but the Austrian Jewish actor had performed, as a boy, for the Austro-Hungarian Emperor in 1916, and had emigrated to the United States in 1940.
